About Me

Asia Martin is a journalist.

The love Asia has for the finance industry and business reporting started when she reported for Financial Advisor Magazine, covering the world of broker dealers and registered investment advisors. Her time at the trade publication ended when she took an opportunity to work at Forbes as its personal finance writer. Since then, Asia has written for WealthManagement.com and its print magazine and more recently Business Insider where she covered private equity, wealth management and general financial technology.

She's also previously written for NJ.com (for The Canford Chronicle and The Independent Press), and Patch.com (in Eatontown, Tinton Falls, and Rumson, NJ)

She is a graduate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey with a B.A. in journalism and media studies. Asia spent her campus days as a proud Douglass College woman and to this day promotes the Douglass Alumni Association. She's a member of the National Association of Black Journalist and engages in many other journalism associations that seek to support journalists.

Outside of her journalism aspirations, Asia worked abroad as an English Language Teacher in Shenzhen. She embarked on the journey to enrich her life and explore different parts of the world between 2015 and 2017.
